Mary Kay Lipstick & Lipgloss Swatches

My Mary Kay lipstick and lipgloss collection is not very large right now.  I've definitely focused more on collecting all of the eye shadows.  I'm definitely an eye shadow hoarder and have more than anyone could ever need.  I do have my eye on some more lipsticks and glosses that I will show you in the future.

Lipsticks
The first color shown is Hibiscus which is a Crème Lipstick.  The second color is a True Dimension lipstick called Firecracker.  The third one is also a True Dimension lipstick in Wild About Pink.

I like both the Creme and True Dimensions formulations.  Both aren't drying and contain antioxidants to protect against free radicals.  The True Dimensions takes it a step further with ingredients that make your lips look plumper, feel firmer and add extra moisture.

Lipglosses
The Mary Kay NouriShine Plus lipglosses are hands down my favorite lipglosses that I've ever tried.  Not sticky and great pigmentation.  The first gloss shown is Beach Bronze, the second is Fancy Nancy and the third is Pink Parfait.  Beach Bronze and Fancy Nancy are shimmer glosses and Pink Parfait is non-shimmer.  The non shimmers tend to be more opaque while the shimmers tend to let your natural lip color show a bit, as you can see in the swatch.

Are there any colors you would like to see swatched or would like a catalog?  Let me know in the comments or email me at ChrissyNicole@MaryKay.com.

Timewise Miracle Set Review

The Mary Kay Timewise Miracle Set is what sold me on this company.  You actually feel like your face is lifted.  And some Independent Consultants will have you apply the product to only half of your face and you can actually see the half with the product is lifted…even more so true with Mary Kay’s Timewise Repair.

Mary Kay has two different formulations of the TimewiseMiracle Set.  Combination-Oily and Normal-Dry.  I suffer from extremely dry skin all over my body but especially on my face.  I have never come across any products that hydrate my skin so well.  The only time my skin feels dry is if I skip my regimen.

The Timewise Miracle Set is designed for those who want to prevent signs of aging to those with moderate signs of aging.  I recommend it to those ages 20-50.  The set comes with 3 in 1 Cleanser, Day Solution, Night Solution and the Anti-Aging Moisturizer.

The 3 in 1 Cleanser cleanses, exfoliates and tones.  It’s a very light exfoliation so I highly suggest adding the Microdermabrasion into your routine.  The cleanser also has anti-aging benefits to it, which I don’t know if it’s that important to have in a cleanser since the product isn’t on your face long enough.  I really do love this cleanser and use it when I am not using my Clarisonic.  When I use my Clarisonic I use the Botanicals Cleanser which has been my favorite cleanser that I have ever used with the Clarisonic.

The Day Solution protects your skin from environmental stresses.  It contains a chemical SPF 35 (won’t flashback in photos), anti-aging peptides and algae extract.  I absolutely adore this product.  It makes my skin feel so smooth and soft.  I also like knowing that it is protecting my skin from damage.

The Night Solution provided me with results after one use!  It basically renews your skin while you sleep.  If my skin is acting up I feel like this stuff heals my skin.  I just ran out (hurry up shipping) and my skin is defiantly acting up.  It contains Nutribeads with vitamins E, A and C. The beads burst when you pump the product.   Vitamin E helps against free radicals that cause signs of aging.  Vitamin  A helps you skin cell turnover.  Vitamin C helps produce collagen and heal wounds.

The Age Fighting Moisturizer has been a lifesaver for my skin.  It hydrates your skin for up to 10 hours.  My skin stays hydrated and looks more youthful.  It combats fine lines/wrinkles and contains antioxidants that help battle free radicals.  The combination-oily formulation contains ingredients that help absorb oil.  Since my skin is so dry I also use the Extra Emollient Night Cream to lock in my moisturizer at night.  For those with Oily-Combination skin you can use the Oil Mattifer after your moisturizer.

The cost of the Timewise Miracle Set is $90.  For me the set lasted 2-3 months varying with each product.  There is also a Trial Set for $44 which should last 1-1.5 months.  There is of course other products in the Timewise line you can add into your regimen to meet your needs.  I will be posting reviews on other Timewise products in the future.

First Blog

I'm an Independent "Advanced Color" Consultant with Mary Kay.  I became a consultant in late April when kits were on sale for $75.  The Time Wise Miracle Set skin care set itself was $90.  I had fallen in love with the products on first application so why pay $90 when I could pay $75 plus get more products and a lifetime discount of 50%. I also like being able to share my knowledge of Beauty with others.  These are the reasons why I joined Mary Kay.

I didn't jump at purchasing inventory.  I am slowly getting to know the products and when a client orders a product I use the Customer Delivery Service.  I know a lot of people get caught up in purchasing too much inventory and not being able to sell it.  I didn't know what my clients would want to purchase and I didn't want skincare/cosmetics to sit in my house when I could just order fresh/new products when a client requests it.

I am a very shy person so I haven't sold much product to people I don't know.  I've kept it mainly within my groups of friends and for now I'm okay with it.

I created this blog because when I created my first Mary Kay order it was hard for me to select which shades of eye shadows and lipsticks I wanted.  I found very few swatches or reviews of the products online.  This blog will allow me to swatch products and give honest reviews of each of the Mary Kay products I have tried.

Hope everyone enjoys :)
